William is a long-tern resident of Japan having arrived in 1995 on a European Commission programme. Originally an Accountant who had worked in inward investment to the UK from Asia, he spent time with the British Embassy on Tokyo and then moved into education as Finance Director of UK curriculum international school. His next challenge was setting a development office focusing on alumni and starting the first fundraising campaign.
In 2023, as Rugby School Japan opened it's new campus, William joined the team as School Development Advisor and looks forward to engaging the school and local communities as the school becomes established as a leading British school in Japan.
William is married with two children who have both been through the international school system in Japan and are now in Europe. They have been replaced by a 'rescue dog' who takes up more time than either of them but keeps him fit with long walks.
Corporate Contribution Programme
The Corporate Contribution Programme (CCP) is a significantly more cost effective alternative to funding the fees of international school education in Japan. Participation in the CCP removes the personal taxes and other income deductions that are normally associated with fees.
By participating in the CCP corporations contribute to the schools funding at no additional cost to the parent or their company. This enables the school to continue expanding facilities, invest in the highest quality teaching and desirable resources for the pupils, and ensures the continuation of an outstanding and transformative educational experience for all our pupils.
